Digital measurement specialist comScore has announced that current President Serge Matta will be promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer from March 1, replacing co-founder Dr Magid Abraham who becomes Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Reston, Virginia-based comScore was founded in 1999 by former IRI leaders Abraham and Gian Fulgoni, who currently serves as the firm's Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. As part of the re-shuffle, Fulgoni will become Chairman Emeritus, remaining on the Board and maintaining his current external-facing industry role on behalf of comScore. From March, Abraham will focus on driving innovation and product leadership.
Matta (pictured), who was promoted to his current role last year, joined the firm in 2000 as an analyst, since when, he has overseen the custom media solutions group, headed the telecoms and financial service practices, and played a role in driving acquisitions and customer partnerships.
Fulgoni comments: 'I have worked with Serge since his early days with this company and was always impressed with his creativity, people skills, tenacity and work ethic. These skills, along with his extensive company and product knowledge, are unique assets that I am confident will drive new momentum for success. Magid and I will continue our commitment and contribution to comScore's future, and will provide Serge and his team with any support they need to accomplish their mission.'
