Abt SRBI Hires Teehan as COO

Abt SRBI, the survey and data collection arm of US-based healthcare and government researcher Abt Associates, has appointed Elizabeth Teehan as Chief Operating Officer, replacing co-founder Al Ronca who will retire in July after 32 years with the company.

The firm is headquartered in New York City and has US offices in Washington DC, Chicago, Cambridge, Fort Myers and Durham. Its offer covers government and public policy, public opinion, banking and finance, consumer products/services, media, telecoms, transportation, utilities, and healthcare research.

Teehan (pictured) joins with 30 years' experience in strategic business development, quality, process improvement and research operations execution. Most recently, she was EVP of TNS, where she was responsible for all operations strategy for North America. Prior to this, she served as CEO of Kantar Operations, and she held a number of senior management roles at Millward Brown, Intelliquest, and Burke Inc.

Ronca, whom she replaces, helped set up the company in 1981, having previously served as President of the National Center for Telephone Research at Louis Harris & Associates.
