Ebiquity Grows and Restructures

UK-based media and marketing insights specialist Ebiquity has reported total revenue growth of 8% at constant currency - reported revenue was up 7.2% to £68.5m (2013: £64.0m). The firm has also announced a business restructure.

Michael GreenleesFounded in 1997 as Thomson Intermedia, Ebiquity has moved from being predominantly an ad monitoring company to focusing on data analytics for the media and marketing sector. The company has more than fifteen offices worldwide and over 800 employees.

Ebiquity will now focus on three business segments: 'Media Value Measurement' (MVM) which includes its media benchmarking, financial compliance and associated services; Market Intelligence (MI) which includes Ebiquity's advertising monitoring, reputation management and research/insight services; and Marketing Performance Optimization (MPO) comprising marketing effectiveness services and the recently acquired Stratigent digital analytics business.

For the twelve months ended 30th April 2014, the group delivered its eighth successive year of growth, with operating profit up 10% to £11.5m at constant currency and £11.3m on a reported basis (2013: £10.4m). MVM accounted for 53% of total group revenue, up 9% to £36.4m; MI revenue was down from £29.6m to £27.1m - 40% of the group total; and MPO, which accounts for 7% of total revenue, saw revenue rise to £4.8m from £2.0m.
