Verve Hires Seven in London

UK-based online community specialist Verve has appointed former GfK exec Ryan Garner to head up its Personal Information Economy proposition, while recruiting six other new members of staff.

Verve was launched in 2008 by the founders of Research Now, Hall & Partners and the iD Factor - Andrew Cooper, Mike Hall and Jon Gumbrell. In March, the firm reported a strong start to 2014, including the arrival of twelve new team members.

Garner (pictured) joins after seven years at GfK, where he latterly served as a Director with a focus including innovation and concept development, market sizing and customer experience. Earlier, he served as an Account Manager at Experian and worked client side as Remarketing Manager of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

In his new role, Garner is tasked with helping expand the services Verve offers to its community panel clients. CEO Andrew Cooper comments: 'We are passionate about bringing new additional and adjacent services to our community panel clients - and the Personal Information Economy is without doubt a major area of opportunity for many of them in the near future.'

Other new hires include Warren Lister, who joins as Associate Director, Qualitative Research, having previously served as Insights Manager at PHD Worldwide, AD at retail and consumer behaviour specialist Flavour, Research Manager at Rosenblatt Market Research, and an RE at Synovate.

In addition, Geordie Watson Joins as Research Executive after roles at TMP Worldwide, Firefish and Flamingo; Kasia Piskorska takes up the position of Senior Research Executive (Poland specialist), joining from Arkenford; Lawrence Wykes joins as SRE from Kantar Worldpanel; Matt King Joins Verve's graduate scheme as Quality Assurance Executive; and Michail Melichov also joins the graduate scheme as Project Executive (Russia specialist).
