Senior Promotions for Gongos

US research provider Gongos, Inc. has promoted Katherine Ephlin to Chief Operating Officer and Susan Scarlet to Vice President, Strategic Branding.

Ephlin will now oversee day-to-day operations for the parent company and its business units, primary research division Gongos Research and data sciences unit O2 Integrated. She will also continue to provide strategic input and direction as a member of the firm's Enterprise Strategy Team.

She moves up from the post of VP, Operations, before which she worked as Director of the Research division's Financial & Diversified team. Before joining in 2006, she worked as an independent consultant and as Marketing Manager for General Motors. She holds a MBA in Marketing Management from Michigan State University and a BA in psychology from the University of Vermont.

Scarlet, who now joins the Enterprise Strategy Team, moves up from the role of Senior Director, Strategic Branding and was previously Gongos' Director, Marketing & Public Relations. Prior to joining, also in 2006, she held marketing communications and publicity roles in both Detroit and Los Angeles, for Seven Network Australia, entertainment branding company 3 Ring Circus and ad agencies, The Berline Group and Doner. She holds a BA in Advertising from Michigan State University.
