Senior Changes at Webtrends

August 7 2014

Online analytics provider Webtrends has lost two senior execs, Bruce Kenny and Eric Butler, having recently shuffled and strengthened its team with three VP level hires and two promotions.

Joe DavisSome of the changes followed a review of operations by new CEO Joe Davis (pictured), who joined in February - the review resulted in twenty-six staff being made redundant in the spring, including half of the North American sales force.

Since then the firm has brought in Abed Farhan as VP of Sales, and hired Jim Patrice as VP of Customer Services & Support and Kathy Stronberg as VP of Marketing . It has also promoted Greg Washburn to VP of Engineering and Jeff Seacrist to VP of Product Management. Nick Sharp remains Vice President and General Manager of EMEA.

This week, it was announced that Kenny, Webtrends' CTO and EVO of Products, had left to take up a role at Viewpoint Construction Software; and Butler, who led technology architecture and data science teams, has moved to network performance monitoring firm Cedexis.

Quoted on www.bizjournals.com , Webtrends; Senior Director of Marketing and Communications Liz Martin said: 'We're proud to be one of the more prominent technology companies in the Northwest and a place where technologists can grow their careers. Bruce Kenny and Eric Butler made excellent contributions at Webtrends and we're happy to see them prosper at other companies within the local tech ecosystem.' She added: 'we are very confident we have the right leadership team to support our plans for the future.'
