Schlesinger Adds EEG Neuromarketing to Qual Offer

US-based fieldwork group Schlesinger Associates has teamed up with Interactive Video Productions LLC to offer EEG-based neuromarketing data collection during in-depth Interviews. The firm already has solutions for facial coding and biometrics labs.

IVP's MobiLAB EEG measures brain activity to track non-verbal emotional responses to stimuli from a range of media, at a rate of 2,000 data points per second. Respondents wear an EEG headset, feeding back data in real time to the moderator in the form of emotional engagement scores - and researchers can also log into a secure online dashboard post-session to review findings.

EVP Anne Hedde says the firm looked for a solution that could 'quickly and effectively measure respondent emotions in an easy to use and cost-effective way.' She comments: 'MobiLAB EEG allows researchers to take their methods beyond self-report to help their clients deliver brand messages that connect with the emotions of their target audiences.'

Bob Granito, President, IVP says the new service is 'a comprehensive, moderator-friendly solution' to enhance the value of qualitative research.
