Senior Appointments for Ipsos Marketing

October 13 2014

Ipsos Marketing has made two appointments to its US leadership team. Elys Roberts is promoted to President, while Steve Girling - most recently SVP and General Manager at strategic healthcare consultancy Campbell Alliance - succeeds him as President of Ipsos Healthcare in the region.

Roberts takes overall responsibility for several divisions across a range of service lines and sectors, including Ipsos Healthcare. He will lead the implementation of the division's global strategy in the US market, reporting directly to Pierre Le Manh, CEO of Ipsos in North America and Global CEO of Ipsos Marketing.

Le Manh comments: 'Elys has truly been an agent of change for us over the last seven years... The time has come for him to lead the Ipsos Marketing team in the US, to better service our clients at a time when Marketing is going through fundamental transformations driven by digital technologies.'

Girling brings almost two decades of research experience. Before Campbell Alliance, he held various leadership positions at Cline Davis & Mann, Leerink Swann and Smart Analyst; and earlier in his career he worked at Forrester Research. In his new role, based in the Norwalk, CT office, he reports to Elys Roberts and to Michael Spedding, Global CEO of Ipsos Healthcare.

Roberts says of his replacement: 'Steve brings both the vision and expertise needed to continue the strong momentum we have built in this arena. With deep knowledge of the challenges and opportunities that face the pharmaceutical industry, he's a natural fit for the role.'
