Norstat Names New MD in Germany

European fieldwork group Norstat has appointed Marc Leimann as Managing Director in Germany, replacing Christoph Irmer who moves into the group position of Chief Marketing Officer.

Oslo, Norway-based Norstat provides qualitative access to online consumer panels in nineteen countries, and other traditional data collection methods in some of those markets.

The firm also has offices in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the UK, as well as in Germany, where Leimann joins with a background in eCommerce, digital media and management consulting. For the past two years, he was Sales Director at Travelzoo, prior to which he worked for daily deal network Mecom Group, and was MD, Germany at Orkla Media.

Irmer co-founded online data collection firm ODC Services, prior to its acquisition by Norstat in 2012. In his new role, he will focus on developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies across the group. He says of the latest changes: 'We are very pleased to have Marc in the position as Managing Director and are confident that he will successfully expand our business in Germany. At the same time, this allows me to fully concentrate on my tasks in the group management of Norstat.'
