In Chicago, digital data collection provider Research Now has appointed Nielsen veteran Doug Pierce as Senior Vice President of Client Development.
Pierce (pictured) joins with more than 30 years' industry experience, including 27 spent at Nielsen, where he held senior operations, client services, business development, sales and executive management roles. More recently, he was Chief Learning Officer at machine tool manufacturer DMG MORI - USA, prior to which he spent a year as SVP Sales and Marketing at Datamonitor.
In his new position, Pierce will manage a significant portion of the Research Now sales team, which works both on existing markets and development of new verticals. He will report to Tom Markert, EVP of Sales and Client Development - another Nielsen veteran who joined the firm last year.
