Horizon Media Names Chief Analytics Officer

In the US, media services agency Horizon Media has appointed Rick Watrall as Chief Analytics Officer, leading its team of analysts, data scientists and statisticians.

Rick WatrallFounded in 1989, Horizon Media is headquartered in New York, with additional offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and Chicago, and has billings in excess of $5.2 billion and more than 1000 employees. Watrall (pictured) joins from marketing ROI measurement specialist Hudson River Group, where he was a Senior Partner, responsible for marketing analysis and software applications for strategic and tactical marketing planning. Before this, he was a Partner at marketing measurement firm MarketingNPV.

In his new role, Watrall will focus on enhancing analytics solutions, creating new avenues for data creation, transforming the agency's proprietary data platforms, and mining new sources and streams of data. He is also charged with building a new analytics team that will work alongside the agency's Chief Information Officer Cliff Cree, to analyze and interpret data.
