Earlier this month, the firm acquired Infoactive, an infographics web app start-up based in Montreal, Canada.
As well as its HQ in Seattle, the firm has US offices in Palo Alto, Austin and Washington DC; European bases in London, Dublin, Frankfurt and Paris; and AsiaPac operations in Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney. The new venture in China aims to provide support for local customers and partners, and Tableau says China Eastern Airlines is already using its tools to analyze market research and to optimize its routes.
