WPP Government & Public Sector Arm Opens ANZ Hub

WPP's Government & Public Sector practice has launched a 'hub' in Sydney, Australia, offering communications and research services for public sector clients in the ANZ region.

Launched last year, the practice provides a range of services such as communications for development, public policy and services; public sector recruitment; country branding and tourism, trade and investment marketing; and digital government. It also serves as a single point of access to the Group's combined resources and multidisciplinary teams of agencies, and partners with academics and innovators on research and development initiatives. The new ANZ hub adds to those in UK, EU, Middle East and Africa, and should be joined by the US and Singapore in 2016.

In ANZ, the hub is led by Kathryn Cooper (pictured), who previously held senior roles at Y&R, The Campaign Palace, Draftfcb, Deutsch, and Ingalls Advertising.

In her new role, Cooper will work closely with WPP ANZ Chairman & Country Manager Geoff Wild, who comments: 'Our agencies have a long history of partnering with government to effectively create societal behaviour change in the region. We're very pleased to now be positioned to bring our local clients better access to best practice case studies and thought leadership from around the world, as well as a broader platform for sharing learnings from our region'.
