GfK Names Howitt for New UK Digital Lead Role

In London, GfK has hires James Howitt for the newly created role of Digital Lead, UK, driving the promotion of its digital media research capabilities and solutions.

James HowittHowitt (pictured) joins from YouGov, where he worked as Business Development Director for the past year. Prior to this, he spent nine years at publishing industry specialist Bowker Market Research most recently as the firm's Global Director of Client Solutions. Earlier, he worked at Nielsen for a decade and before he left in 2005 was Director of Client Development. involved with developing a consumer research service for the publishing industry.

In his new role, Howitt reports to Anthony Norman, UK MD of GfK's Retail and Technology division, who comments: 'Making sense of the digital landscape is a clear priority for GfK. As Digital Lead, James will spearhead our efforts in this area to deliver our industry leading solutions that empower clients with the insights they need to stay ahead in the fast-moving digital space. I'm delighted to have someone of his calibre leading the team'.
