itracks Teams Up with Research Now

November 2 2015

Canadian qualitative software provider itracks has announced a new version of its IDI online qual product; and a partnership with Research Now offering 'on-demand recruitment' for online and mobile qual studies.

Dan Weberitracks IDI integrates reliable mobile-friendly telephone interview software with technology allowing respondents to provide feedback on images or videos streamed directly to a whiteboard area accessible via a clickable link. It also includes built-in scheduling features and reminders, and if required can itself call the participant and connect them to the call, allowing them to remain anonymous. Client observation and interaction takes place from behind a 'virtual mirror', and an instant audio recording or transcript is available afterwards.

CEO Dan Weber says the system 'provides a low cost option for in-depth interviews when video is not required'.

Separately, 'On-Demand Recruitment' will allow researchers to move participants provided by Research Now directly into itracks' focus group discussion boards and communities. The package aims to significantly reduce recruitment timelines, project management requirements and recruiting costs, routing participants automatically from any quant screener or survey directly into a qualitative exercise based on predefined qualifying criteria. Images and video can also be captured from a participant's smartphone.

Weber comments: 'Qualitative research projects can start when the research is ready to begin, and researchers can count on participants to show up for the group because they can be routed to the group on demand'. Kurt Knapton, outgoing President and CEO of Research Now, says the new method 'streamlines qualitative recruitment and incentive management, reducing field time from weeks to a matter of hours or days'.
