Slingshot Hires for New Head of Digital and Data Role

In Australia, full service media agency Slingshot Media Ventures has hired former Carat digital expert Chris Johnston for its newly created role of Head of Digital and Data.

Chris JohnstonSydney-based Slingshot specialises in media strategy and buying services, while offering a range of strategic communication solutions. Johnston (pictured) joins from global media network Carat, where he served as Head of Digital and Direct on the Woolworths account. Earlier, he was General Manager of ad network McCann Erickson in Sydney, and Group Account Director at BBDO.

In his new role, Johnston will lead Slingshot's Digital and Data offering across all clients. He reports to Strategy Chief Simon Corbett, and works alongside the firm's recently appointed Data Scientist Stuart Dennon.
