Former Nielsen Exec Takes Leading Role at Livefyre

Social media marketing firm Livefyre has appointed former Nielsen exec Mari Cross as Chief Customer Officer.

Mari CrossBased in San Francisco, Livefyre provides a platform which manages comments sections on blogs and news sites, and also helps marketers manage and curate content and discussions on the web. In February marketing data giants Adobe and Salesforce came together for a $47m injection of funding for the firm.

Cross (pictured) joins from Nielsen, where she served as SVP of Client Service, in charge of a team of more than forty staff. In addition, she cross led the sales and account management teams responsible for revenue growth, customer advocacy and satisfaction, and helping clients realize value from Nielsen's products. Earlier, she held senior roles at PopularMedia, Gartner, Telephia, Bravanta, and Scient.

In her new role, Cross will be responsible for all aspects of customer lifecycle post sale, and will be growing the team to drive revenue through increasing upsells, renewals and overall client satisfaction.
