WPP Names Tsou as plista AsiaPac Head

WPP-owned digital ad targeting specialist plista has appointed long-time GroupM exec Serina Tsou as Head of its Asia Pacific region.

Serina TsouAcquired by WPP in 2014, and now part of the Xaxis portfolio, Berlin-based plista uses a proprietary data-driven platform to deliver content and ads tailored to the interests of individual site visitors, using previous reading and clickthrough behavior.

Tsou (pictured) joined GroupM media agency MEC Taiwan in 2006, and moved to the parent company in 2010. For the last two years, she has served as its Regional Trading Director, Proprietary Media, APAC, working with teams across Greater China, India and Southeast Asia markets. In this position, she also helped support the roll-out of plista in China, Malaysia and Thailand.

In her new role, Tsou will be responsible for driving growth for the business across existing APAC markets, while launching operations in new locations. Michel de Rijk, Xaxis' Asia-Pacific CEO, comments: 'Serina has played an instrumental role in the success of GroupM's digital media products business in the APAC region. With her understanding of programmatic media and the publisher landscape in the different markets, Serina will be a great asset in driving plista's on-going success in the region'.
