Getty Images Creates Data and Insights Role

In New York, stock photo agency Getty Images has hired former dunnhumby exec Andrew Hamilton for a newly created role, SVP of Data and Insights, responsible for the firm's overall data strategy and the application of customer insights across the business.

Andrew HamiltonThe firm supplies stock images for business and consumers with an archive of 80 million still images and illustrations and more than 50,000 hours of stock film footage. Hamilton (pictured) joins from London-based Tesco data company dunnhumby, where he worked for the past decade, most recently as Global Head of Strategic Planning. As a member of dunnhumby's Executive Committee, he was involved in strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management and business change programs. Before this, he held senior management consulting roles at Accenture and Booz Allen Hamilton.

In his new position, Hamilton will report to CEO Dawn Airey, who comments: 'Our Getty Images Everywhere strategy is delivering our world-class content to almost one million advertising, publishing and corporate customers, as well as to people that simply love viewing and sharing the world's very best imagery.
