Customer Analyst Zendesk Opens in India

US-based customer service platform Zendesk has announced it will open an office in India, and has appointed former Hewlett Packard Enterprise executive KT Prasad as Country Sales Director, based in Bengaluru.

Three companies have also been named as new local partners to support growth in the country: Cloudcover, Powerupcloud and Virtuos. Prasad will also be supported by the firm's regional headquarters in Singapore.

Zendesk was founded in 2007 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and now has its HQ in San Francisco. It employs more than 1,500 people in eleven cities worldwide. A year ago the company introduced a machine learning and predictive analytics feature called Satisfaction Prediction, which uses historical customer survey results to predict which individuals are likely to provide negative feedback.

CTO and co-founder Morten Primdahl comments: 'India has a burgeoning startup sector and a young, connected consumer population. We're excited to open an office in Bengaluru to fuel growth in the region. With a local team now in place, our aim is to help even more companies grow their business and better relate to their customers'.
