Firefish Hires Two in New York

Independent agency Firefish has appointed Anita Idnani as Research Director and Stefanie Lai as Senior Research Executive, at its office in New York.

Anita Idnani and Stefanie LaiFirefish, which is headquartered in London with additional operations in Amsterdam and Singapore, launched as a qual agency in 2000 and added quant division TheNumbersLab a decade later. It also owns a kids and family specialist, The Pineapple Lounge, and an in-house insight films specialist, Firefilms.

Idnani joins with more than twenty years' insight industry experience, having worked in several clientside and agency roles. Most recently, she was a Senior Account Director at boutique qual research agency Spinach, prior to which she served as Senior Market Intelligence exec at healthcare accessories business Philips Avent, and Group Research Director at consumer specialist 2CV. Earlier, she worked for Masterfoods Australia and New Zealand, Synovate (formerly Asia Market Intelligence), and TRBI.

Lai also joins from Spinach, where she worked as an Account Manager after spells as a Senior Research Associate at executive search firm Perrett Laver, and a Sales Consultant at media intelligence specialist Meltwater Group. Commenting on the appointments, US MD Beth Broughton said: 'I could not be happier about Anita and Stefanie joining the US team. The strategic insight we deliver to Firefish clients around the world, as well as our growing base of local North America clients, is very rewarding and I am so glad to add two new talented, strategic thinkers to the team'.
