Former Focus Forward Execs Open MR Transcription Firm

October 5 2016

Elizabeth Granahan and Meghan Surdenas, who previously worked at MR recruitment specialist Focus Forward, have set up their own language services agency SyncScripts, offering translations and transcription from an office in Philadelphia.

Elizabeth Granahan and Meghan SurdenasGranahan was previously President of Focus Forward, where she worked for more than eleven years, and earlier served as VP of Transcription Services; while Surdenas was the firm's Director of Business Development for nearly six years. Their new firm provides translations across both the printed and spoken word - from document translation, recorded audio, to a word document deliverable, or back translations. The company currently supports Asian, French, Creole, Portuguese, Italian, German, Spanish, Eastern European and many other languages. Transcription services include providing a verbatim account of audios typed into a Word document, with turnaround guaranteed in one to five days.

Commenting on the launch, Surdenas explained: 'We wanted to create and build a boutique language firm, offering unparalleled quality at a remarkable price. We know, all too often, that clients have to sacrifice price for quality. We are looking to level the playing field by bridging that gap'.
