Toluna Deal Boosts Access to Hard-to-Reach Patients

November 22 2016

Online community and survey tech provider Toluna says it has increased access to hard-to-reach patients through a 'strategic partnership' with an unnamed source.

Steve OrlickToluna's North America-based Healthcare Practice provides researchers with access to physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other medical professionals, as well as to individual ailment sufferers. The firm's newfound access to hard-to-reach patient segments has been sourced through a network of physicians who perform recruitment and screening, as well as survey distribution. Studies can be conducted with a wide range of patient types, including sufferers from lung cancer and melanoma, kidney disease, psoriasis, and HIV/AIDS. Some of the groups now made available include product or medication users who suffer from specific illnesses / ailments; individuals who experience specific symptoms; very low-incidence sufferer populations; and people who suffer from sensitive conditions.

VP Healthcare Steve Orlick (pictured) comments: 'We believe that it's critical to have an in-depth knowledge not only of the healthcare landscape but how to engage with survey respondents in effective ways. Our clients have diverse needs, and we're always looking for new ways to help them access the precise audience they need for their research studies'.
