WPP Buys User Experience Firm Code Computer Love

In the UK, WPP agency MediaCom has acquired a majority stake in Manchester-based user experience studio Code Computer Love, which creates digital products, campaigns and capabilities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Tony Foggett, Louis Georgiou and Wini TseThe firm offers a range of user experience (UX) design, web development, content services, conversion testing and SEO services. Earlier this year, the firm announced it was moving away from brand communications to instead focus on customer experience, and its studio features UX testing labs and a 'maker's space'. The agency was established in 1999 by Tony Foggett, Louis Georgiou and Wini Tse, employs around 80 people, and for the year ended 31st December 2015 unaudited revenue was £5.9m.

Following the acquisition, MediaCom says it will be able to offer clients a 'fully connected service across the entire customer journey', from media to acquisition to conversion.
