Kantar Media Awarded Turkish TV Measurement Extension

Turkish TV audience measurement organisation TIAK AŠ has awarded incumbent Kantar Media the contract to deliver official TV trading currency until at least 2020, with the option to extend until 2022.

Ibrahim ErenTIAK AŠ members include the Advertisers' Association (Reklam Verenler Dernegi), the Association of Advertising Agencies (Reklamcilar Dernegi) and all major media groups. Its existing service, awarded to Kantar Media in 2009 and reported since 2012, will be expanded to include TV viewed on tablets, PCs and smartphones for up to +7 days. The expanded service is planned to begin reporting in September 2017, and comprises two panels: Core TV (TV viewed on the television set) measured through a panel of a minimum of 4,000 households; and a sub-set digital panel called Extended TV (TV viewed on tablets PCs and smartphones) comprising 2,000 households.
