Provalis Upgrades Qual Analysis Tool

In Canada, text analysis software firm Provalis Research has added a series of new qual analysis features to its QDA Miner Lite solution.

Normand PeladeauMontreal-based Provalis provides products for applications such as business intelligence, market research, media and survey analysis, and fraud detection. Its QDA Miner Lite now includes features for document overview, tree-grid display, and image rotation and resizing. It also includes new date and time variables, and the ability to record numerical variables into ordinal variables, move columns in table reports, resize string variables, and import document creation date. The solution can also be used for coding, retrieval and export to and import from a wide range of programs and file formats.

Company President Normand Peladeau (pictured) comments: 'The freeware is a starting point for qualitative data analysts for coding, annotating and analyzing collections of documents and images.
