Hong Kong Hire and Expansion for Isentia

July 24 2017

Media and business intelligence firm Isentia has appointed Alex Yu as General Manager for Hong Kong, with the additional role of driving business development in the region. The company has also moved its Hong Kong operations to a larger office.

Alex YuYu brings decades of experience leading media sales and B2B marketing initiatives in Hong Kong and mainland China, from companies including Maxus Communication, HK Cable TV, JCDecaux Texon, and Asia Inflight where he spent ten years in the ad sales team.

The new office at Java Road, North Point will house a growing team covering an expanding range of activities. Isentia acquired global content marketing agency King Content in 2015 and press distribution service China Newswire last year, and has added all-round BI solutions to its original speciality of media monitoring. The firm now has more than 1,100 employees across 15 countries, and just under a year ago it reported revenue up 22.6% to $AUD 155m, and EBITDA up 20% to $AUD 51m, most of the growth coming from the King Content buy.

David Liu, Isentia Asia Chief Executive, comments: 'Our growth has been so exciting and more space is critical to continue to support that growth. Alex's extensive industry knowledge in Media and B2B marketing are going to help us accelerate the business development, and further enhance our market position in Hong Kong'.
