Dave Cameron Takes New Role at Target Data

In the US, customer data specialist Target Data has hired former Nielsen exec Dave Cameron for its new role of Vice President of Analytics, leading the Analytics and Business Insights team.

Dave CameronFounded a decade ago, Chicago-based Target combines clients' customer data with relevant third-party data, to provide an enhanced understanding of customers and pinpoint 'hyper-value' prospects. Cameron (pictured) joins after seventeen years at Nielsen, most recently as VP, Data Science. Before this, he was VP Global Consumer Segmentation, leading a twenty-person analytical team; and he led a team within Nielsen's Statistical Center of Innovation. Earlier in his career, Cameron worked for data-driven CRM and performance marketing agency Merkle, where he was responsible for statistical modelling of attributes for consumer acquisition, retention and profit maximization.

In his new role reporting to COO Marshall Gibbs, Cameron will lead a team charged with developing new data-driven strategies, analytics frameworks and visualization tools.
