Manchester, UK-based consumer insight agency Join the Dots is to open an office in New York, led by Jeff Haselum who has been promoted to Head of US Research.
A first international office was opened in Singapore eighteen months ago, and the company continues to expand, with 2016 revenue growth of 26%, to £9.8m. This matched its growth rate for each of the two previous years, and a similar increment is expected in 2017. The company was acquired by its senior management team from founders and previous majority shareholders Pete and Trish Comley in May, and the following month announced the launch of a dedicated qualitative research unit called Spirit.
The new office will allow Join the Dots to service US client offices including those of GSK, PepsiCo and Shell, as well as pursuing new business. Haselum (pictured) has spent nine years at the company, working his way up from SRE to, most recently, Head of Research Teams. Prior to joining, he worked at Aba Quality Monitoring Ltd and then at Harris Interactive UK.
Group MD Quentin Ashby says of the developments: 'Having successfully launched in Southeast Asia two years ago we are delighted to be branching out in the States. Our initial focus will be with our current clients but in time we will develop new business opportunities across North America.
'Jeff's experiences gathered whilst performing his previous role as the Head of Research Teams makes him exceptionally qualified to take on this exciting role in the US and I know he is relishing the move'.
