20|20 Research Adds Diary and Journal Tool

November 13 2017

US-based 20|20 Research has announced an upgrade to the QualBoard digital data collection platform, one of its flagship solutions.

Jim BrysonVersion 4.0 of the tool, which facilitates asynchronous qual discussions and activities, has been redesigned from the ground up to improve the researcher and respondent experience, and is initially available for use on ethnography, diary and journal studies. Updates include an improved structure for researchers to design and connect projects; improved media handling and in-platform video editing for more impactful deliverables; and built-in text analytics to jumpstart reporting.

Tech division CEO Isaac Rogers comments: 'A significant portion of the projects we support are centered around individual activities. Researchers need to have a way to capture those in-the-moment, authentic insights from participants' everyday lives, so it was a natural focus for the initial phase of QualBoard 4.0'. In addition to a streamlined and more intuitive interface, version 4.0 offers options for more questions types; enhanced logic and skip patterns including those based on key words in open-ended text; and easy management on any device without the need to download a mobile app. Lastly, a built-in analytics engine allows concept and keyword extraction, and sentiment analysis.

Company President Jim Bryson (pictured) says journals and diaries are 'just the beginning of what's in store with QualBoard 4.0'.
