C Space Hires Chris Nurko for New Innovation Role

In the US, online community specialist C Space has hired former FutureBrand Global Chairman Chris Nurko for a newly created position, Chief Growth & Innovation Officer, starting at the beginning of next month.

Omnicom-owned C Space offers services including private online communities, in-person live events, visual storytelling, co-creation workshops and business consulting. The company, which recently received the MRS award for Best Agency with a turnover above £20m, is part of Omnicom's global branding consultancy Interbrand Group, and the two businesses are currently launching an initiative called Co-Lab Accelerator, to help brands create products and experiences driven by customer input.

Nurko (pictured) plans to relocate from the UK to the US to lead the Co-Lab Accelerator, after nearly nine years as Global Chairman at FutureBrand, where he previously served as UK MD and Global Head of Innovation. While at the company, he was responsible for directing global growth initiatives around product, service and client relationships, while developing the agency's 'Country Brand Index' and 'Made In' reports. Earlier, he was Global Deputy CEO of marketing and technology services firm SapientNitro, where he founded and led an innovation practice called Leftbluesky. Nurko began his career at brand and creative design consultancy Sampson Tyrell, now known as Brand Union and owned by WPP.
