ISG Launches App, Aims for Industry Community

February 19 2018

Technology research and advisory firm Information Services Group has released an app for clients, 'ISG Impact', offering easy access to its research reports and news. The company says it aims to build this into 'a community of buyers and sellers of technology and sourcing services'.

ISG ImpactFounded in 2006 and based in Stamford, Conn., ISG now employs more than 1,300 professionals operating in more than 20 countries. The group has acquired TPI, Compass, STA Consulting, and more recently emerging IT trends analyst Saugatuck Technology and subscription-based research, advisory and benchmarking firm Experton Group AG. In December 2016, it announced it was spending $74m to acquire US-based Alsbridge Holdings, which like TPI is an outsourcing advisory firm.

The initial release focuses on ISG content including reports, white papers, case studies and news, as well as upcoming industry events. It also boasts an 'augmented reality feature' which ISG Partner and Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Todd Dreger says allows users 'to engage with our interactive content and experience our robotic process automation services in an entirely new way'.

Dreger says future releases 'will enable users to create virtual communities around significant areas of interest, fueled by unmoderated discussions between peers, between buyers and sellers, and between all industry players and our advisors'.

The app is currently available for iPhone, with an Android version scheduled for future release.
