Independence and New Name for Grail

July 30 2018

New York-based Grail Research, previously part of Integreon, has been relaunched as an independent firm by its owners NewQuest Capital, newly rebranded as Grail Insights.

Rob StoneThe company started out in 2006 as the strategic research arm of Monitor Group, and in 2009 was acquired by KPO firm Integreon - when the latter was itself bought by NewQuest Capital in 2016, the investment company 'recognized Grail's potential as an independent firm'. Consequently Grail, which boasts more than 250 consultants, analysts, data scientists and technologists, now has an independent executive team and separate sources of growth funding.

Grail says primary and secondary research 'remain cornerstones' of its work, but the new name reflects its emphasis on applying what it finds to clients' challenges, in areas including financial, procurement, sales, compliance and regulatory functions. CEO Rob Stone (pictured) comments: 'Our clients need answers to their most pressing business challenges. But more than that, they want action and implementation, and that's where Grail parts ways with traditional market research'.
