Quantcast and Kochava in CCPA Compliance Partnership

February 10 2020

Audience intelligence and consent management company Quantcast has partnered with mobile data solutions firm Kochava to help clients comply with the new CCPA legislation (California Consumer Privacy Act).

Charles Manning and Konrad FeldmanKochava, headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, provides a mobile data attribution platform and data marketplace, and helps clients onboard data and measure and optimize all aspects of their marketing.

San Francisco-based Quantcast is adding CCPA support to its Choice web platform, while a new joint solution, 'Choice Powered by Kochava and Quantcast', will help consumers make privacy choices in mobile apps. Choice was launched in 2018 as a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to comply with Europe's GDPR and ePrivacy Directive (ePD), and is compliant with the standards of the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau). The platform promises a scalable, easy-to-use solution for privacy management in mobile apps, with dynamic operation reflecting local regulations and platform / publisher requirements.

The new partnership will also support the upcoming version 2.0 of IAB Europe's Transparency and Consent Framework across web and mobile apps: the partners have been working with the IAB in the US and Europe on understanding compliance frameworks for CCPA and GDPR.

'Privacy and consent are essential no matter what screen consumers engage with', says Charles Manning (left), founder and CEO of Kochava, adding: 'Quantcast was the perfect partner to further enhance our existing suite of data privacy tools and provide a single solution between market leaders'. Konrad Feldman (right), his opposite number at Quantcast, comments: 'As new laws like CCPA emerge, Quantcast is continuing to invest in solutions that empower consumers and help the publisher community forge sustainable business models. Kochava's leadership in mobile creates a compelling partnership to help consumers make informed decisions wherever they encounter brands and publishers online'.
