IRI Acquires Supply Chain Analytics Provider RSi

October 9 2020

In the US, consumer data giant IRI has acquired Retail Solutions, Inc. (RSi), which provides supply chain solutions for CPG manufacturers and retailers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bert Clement and Bal DailRSi's retail apps, analytics and collaboration platforms provide clients with intelligence to manage their on-shelf availability and sales; while its OSAPower solution includes a range of AI-driven tools to diagnose, reduce and prevent out-of-stock situations. The company has 300 staff located in fifteen countries around the world.

IRI says the acquisition builds on its own track record of investing in technology, solutions and data assets. Benefits of the deal include the addition of a suite of supply chain solutions to IRI's existing capabilities, and the creation of a repository of store-and warehouse-level supply chain data. In addition, as part of the merger, RSi's Ansa solutions will be offered by IRI's Media Center of Excellence. Ansa provides ad networks with the intelligence they need to plan, target, optimize and measure their campaigns, based on daily, store-level sales and inventory.

Bert Clement, CEO of RSi, says IRI is the ideal partner to build on his firm's existing suite of solutions and enable clients to further optimize their supply chains. Baljit 'Bal' Dail, President of IRI Global, adds: 'The addition of RSi's leading solutions to our broader portfolio of offerings will further enhance our robust capabilities and enable retailers and manufacturers to drive tangible ROI and capitalize on opportunities in a dynamic environment'.
