Bal Dail Named President of IRI Global

In the US, consumer data giant IRI has appointed Baljit 'Bal' Dail as President of IRI Global, leading the firm's commercial efforts in the US and internationally. He will join on April 1st, 2019, and will also become a member of the IRI Board of Directors.

Bal DailDail (pictured) most recently worked at IRI investor New Mountain Capital, where he has been involved in helping IRI maximize the value of its Liquid Data predictive analytics and insights platform for clients. Earlier, he was Chairman and CEO of supply chain solutions provider JDA Software, and he spent seven years as a Partner at McKinsey & Company, before moving to financial services firm Aon Hewitt, where he latterly served as CEO. He began his career in the tech group at retailer Marks & Spencer, and then held various roles at JP Morgan, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Ford Motor Company. He has also previously served on IRI's Board of Directors.

Commenting on the appointment, IRI President and CEO Andrew Appel said: 'Bal is an exceptional leader with a distinguished reputation and deep experience in the retail and technology sectors. His familiarity with the CPG and retail market, our business and portfolio of solutions will enable him to hit the ground running, and his years of global operational expertise at the executive level will help IRI better serve our clients and deliver growth around the world'.

Dail joins IRI as Piyush Chaudhari, President of the Americas and Strategy, leaves to join the Sgsco collective of companies as CEO.
