Former Nielsen MD Named Toluna Board Chairman

November 10 2020

Consumer intelligence platform Toluna has appointed former Nielsen MD Bruce Haymes as Non-Executive Chairman of its Board of Directors.

Bruce HaymesToluna, the holding company of Toluna, Harris Interactive Europe and KuRunData, recently secured a 'significant' round of financing, for use in global growth initiatives. This funding followed the launch of end-to-end MR platform Toluna Start, which integrates with the group's panel of more than 30 million participants to provide insights for market understanding, new product development, brand and communications work.

Haymes (pictured) joins the Board after previously spending nearly thirteen years at Nielsen, latterly as founder and MD of Nielsen Innovate, the company's startup investment fund and innovation platform. In this role, he led more than 25 investments across the world and drove over $1bn in corporate acquisitions. Earlier, he was Nielsen's SVP, Global Business Development and M&A. Haymes currently serves as Chief Partnership Officer at Northeastern University, where he is responsible for corporate deals, investments and strategy.

At Toluna, Haymes will work closely with founder and CEO Frédéric-Charles Petit, who comments: 'Bruce's expertise and proven record helping to grow businesses through investments, partnerships and product development, combined with our unmatched twenty year industry legacy, will propel us into the future as we transform the market research industry to help our global enterprise clientele understand tomorrow today'.
