Change at the Top for DATA Communications Management

March 15 2021

In Canada, comms solutions provider DATA Communications Management (DCM) has hired Richard Kellam as President and CEO, replacing Gregory Cochrane who has been named Vice Chairman.

Richard KellamDCM combines customer insights with products, technology and services to determine which channels are right for clients, manage multimedia campaigns, deploy location specific and 1:1 marketing, and execute custom loyalty programs. In 2018, the company acquired retail experience specialist The Perennial Group, whose services included brand strategy, consumer insights and retail communications.

Kellam (pictured) joins after two years as CEO of consulting and business development organization Advantage Group International, prior to which he worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company; latterly as SVP, Global Sales and Marketing + Leader of Emerging Markets; and he was Global Chief Customer Officer at Mars Inc, where he spent fourteen years. Earlier, he held senior marketing and branding positions at Molson Coors, Wrigley, Robin Hood Multifoods and Playtex.

In his new position, Kellam replaces Cochrane, who stepped into the position in February when it was announced that company President Michael Coté had left the business. JR Kingsley Ward, Chairman of DCM's Board of directors, comments: 'Richard brings a wealth of general management, customer development and marketing experience through his 35-year international career with leading global companies. His global experience and successful track record will ensure our continued focus on our clients' priorities as we continue to provide value-added solutions for their evolving needs'.
