New York-based consumer insights platform Suzy has appointed long-time Nielsen exec Amy YaWen Chiu as Director of Research Strategy.
Suzy combines research tools with its own consumer network, to connect brands directly with their target audiences and re-target them for more detailed qualitative insights. Last month, the firm launched an audience-powered research solution called Suzy Solutions, through which large enterprises and brands can customize their market research and gather rapid consumer insights.
Chiu (pictured) previously spent more than a decade at Nielsen, where she latterly served as Consumer Insights, Client Manager, analyzing consumer buying patterns on behalf of CPG manufacturers and retailers. She originally joined the firm's BASES innovation division, as Project Developer, and later served as a liaison, leading global cross-functional meetings between clients, operations departments and outside vendors.
In her new role, Chiu will support Suzy's efforts to offer brand customers data-driven insights around consumer and shopper insights, innovation, marketing, and branding. Company President Avi Savar comments: 'Suzy continues to disrupt the market research industry by building out its talented team of executives to support its aggressive product roadmap and growing list of Fortune 500 customers. Amy is a versatile and strategic executive and a fantastic addition to our rapidly expanding team.'
