LinkedIn has acquired Israel-based marketing analytics company Oribi for an undisclosed sum.Oribi's code-free platform can be used to track everything visitors do on a web site, including all key conversions and even retrospectively. The firm also offers optimization features allowing users to understand where they lose prospects, and uncover which events drive conversions. The solution can also help users spot which channels bring the most engaged prospects and drive the most conversions.
LinkedIn says the deal will accelerate its own marketing attribution capabilities, while establishing an office in Tel Aviv. Through the integration of Oribi's technology into LinkedIn marketing solutions platform, the latter firm says it users will be able to measure web site conversions with automated tags and code-free technology, as well as build more effective audiences.
Several members of the Oribi team, including founder Iris Shoor, are expected to join LinkedIn. The latter's Chief Product Officer Tomer Cohen (pictured) comments: 'Our investment in Oribi builds on our focus to create solutions that connect organizations with their professional audiences. I could not be more excited for what's ahead - welcoming the Oribi team to LinkedIn to help us further scale the value that we deliver to our members and customers and expanding our global presence with our new office in Israel'.
