Further Tie-Up for Verian and Faculty

November 20 2023

Public policy research, evidence, evaluation and comms agency Verian, until recently known as Kantar Public, has partnered with 'human-first AI solutions' provider Faculty, to support decision-making in government across the public sector.

Craig WatkinsThe Kantar Public unit was sold last year to pan-European private equity firm Trilantic Europe, and functions as a standalone business, but until recently had retained the Kantar Public name. Faculty promises to 'transform organisational performance through safe, impactful and human-led AI' - with work that underpins operations for healthcare providers, retailers, energy providers and governments around the world.

Last month, the companies partnered to launch a tool to improve the data synthesis stage of qualitative research studies. They are now bringing together their expertise, and what they describe as a shared commitment to ethical practice, and an understanding of the requirements of serving government and the public realm. By applying AI technologies to social research, the firms say they can analyse more complex and substantially larger data sources, of more varied types, resulting in more comprehensive research delivered more efficiently and effectively.

Craig Watkins (pictured), UK CEO for Verian, says: 'Solving the next generation of public policy challenges requires a unique combination of both human and technological intelligence. Through our partnership with Faculty, we will accelerate the innovation we are already driving in the advancement of methodological research frameworks. Helping to ensure that we are providing the most robust evidence base for decision making in government and across the public sector'.
