March 4 2024

Adelaide, Australia-based attention measurement specialist Amplified Intelligence has appointed Anthony Capano as EVP Global Head of SaaS.

Anthony CapanoFounded in 2017 by author and behavioural scientist Dr Karen Nelson Field, the firm analyses online attention to help gauge the success of ads with the help of its own AI-powered technology and research expertise, and offers clients a media planning platform. Last year it launched a tag-based system for measuring the attention paid to ad campaigns, allowing for their real-time, in-flight optimisation; launched a tool to filter out non-attentive impressions from viewing figures; and partnered with AI firm Chalice Custom Algorithms to combine its attention data with smart bidding technology.

Capano (pictured) brings to his new role more than 25 years of commercial experience, and is returning to Australia after time in the US. He worked for ten years as Managing Director at Rakuten Advertising across the Americas, EMEA and ANZ, and earlier was General Manager at Australian marketing services provider Salmat Group. He will now be responsible for steering continued global growth and customer acquisition, while also leading a team based out of Australia.

CEO Nelson-Field comments: 'Anthony's exceptional expertise in crafting and executing successful business growth strategies fits seamlessly into our vision. The attention ecosystem is changing rapidly and Anthony's experience will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in driving our growth and establishing Amplified Intelligence as synonymous with excellence in omnichannel technology that captures true human attention'.
