The firm is looking to increase its market share in Australia and accelerate its growth across the Asia Pacific region. The company was established in 2006 and specialises in the 'Science of Choice', with expertise in five areas: strategy, methodology, experience, research and technology. Clients have, it says, been referring to it as '5D' for a long time already, and the rebrand / renaming reflects this as well as 'reinforcing its position as an industry leader in cognitive science and understanding the complexity of modern decision-making.'
An expanded leadership team is intended to drive innovation, enhance client partnerships and strengthen the company's presence in the region. In addition to founder and CEO Lyndall Spooner, COO David Gemmola and Sydney Managing Director Alex Vishney, the team now includes Melbourne MD Andrew Slot; Director of Qual Hannah Krijnen; Director, Brand and Consumer Strategy Melissa Gilson; Director, Technology and Operations Abhishek Jayant; and Data Scientist Nick Wyatt.
Spooner comments: 'For almost twenty years, we have been at the forefront of cognitive science, helping businesses understand the complexity of human choice and behaviour. Our new brand positioning, 'The Science of Choice', highlights our expertise in consumer decision-making and the factors that influence brand success. Market dynamics have evolved and traditional approaches to marketing and strategy are no longer relevant. Consumer behaviour is shifting due to advancements in technology and social change. We provide science, technology and expertise to help brands make smarter decisions and drive sustainable growth.'
