Reid to Chair Merged Rival Group

In Canada, Rival Group, which was formed in May from the merger of Angus Reid Group, Rival Technologies and Reach3 Insights, has appointed Angus Reid as Chairman of the Board.

The original Angus Reid Group was acquired by Ipsos in 2000 for $100 million - Reid was its founder and CEO; is Chair of the Angus Reid Institute; and also co-founded Vision Critical. The new Rival Group brings together Rival Technologies' mobile-first platform, the panel operations of the second Angus Reid Group (ARG), and the consulting teams at Reach3 and ARG.

Reid says of his new role: 'As Chair of Rival Group, I'm focused on ensuring we stay true to the values that built these companies - rigor, independence, and a focus on strategic insights. By owning our technology, our panel, and our team, we can deliver sharper insights with more speed and accountability than anyone else.'
