US automotive research group J.D. Power has appointed Steve Saxty as Executive Director of Automotive Marketing Solutions.
Saxty previously owned the consulting firm PowerBrand. Prior to that he was an Executive Director with FutureBrand, where he was responsible for the global automotive practice. Earlier in his career, he was a partner with Automotive Answers, a European firm that specialised in auto market strategy. He has also worked for Ford, Mazda and Porsche in various capacities in Europe.
In his new role, he will be responsible for developing brand marketing solutions and strategies to complement the firm's existing car and truck media studies and Internet-based digital marketing products.
Bob Reilly, Executive VP of Client Solutions at J.D. Power and Associates says Saxty will 'add an important new dimension' to the company's growing consulting business. 'Steve's experience in producing programs that help brands maximise their return on communications investment will be vital in helping our clients to position their products and brands.'
