Online Medical Panel for Turkey

GfK Turkey has launched the country's first specialist online medical panel. The panel offers access to the opinions of 3,650 healthcare professionals working in a variety of specialisms.

Members include 1,508 GPs and 201 dentists, as well as a range of specialists in areas ranging from anaesthesia to cardiology and psychiatry. Clients can access frequently updated information about the panellists, and can choose respondents according to their areas of specialisation and other factors such as number of patients, and year of graduation.

The panel is an extension of the company's general consumer panel, which was launched last year.

Mads Stenbjerre, the company's Business Development Director explains how it came about: 'We decided to build the panel after several clients had expressed interest in online medical research. The pharmaceutical sector in Turkey is experiencing rapid growth, and the size of the country means that online research promises to cut down on time and cost for medical market research.'

The company is drawing on the expertise of GfK's specialist Healthcare unit to conduct projects using the medical panel.
