New Hitwise UK Data Splits Out Paid Search Traffic

September 28 2006

Online competitive intelligence provider Hitwise UK has announced the addition of paid and organic search term data to its Search Intelligence™ 4.0 product. The new data will allow online marketers to analyse their competitors' paid and organic search strategies at a keyword level.

Gavin Appel, Hitwise SVP of Product Development, says the new data will enable clients to strike the right balance between search engine optimization and search engine marketing campaigns. The new feature shows a breakdown of the percentage of traffic a competitor receives from paid versus organic search terms, based on the search behaviour of 8.43 million UK internet users across all major search engines. The upgrade is now available to clients of the firm's UK competitive intelligence service.

Hitwise serves around 1,200 global clients with data on the online usage, search, and conversion behaviour of 25 million Internet users, via relationships with ISPs. Based in NYC, the company also operates in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and is online at www.hitwise.com .
