Senior Staff Join Ipsos in US

November 6 2006

Ipsos has added three senior researchers to its growing Seattle office, which has doubled in size in the last year to more than 20 staff. They are HP veteran Tom Rideout, Brett Tucker from Harris Interactive and Jeff Etherton, previously of Northwest Research Group.

Rideout joins the Ipsos Loyalty division as Senior VP with responsibility for the Western US. Most recently, he was President of his own firm, Touchpoint Innovation; previously he spent 20 years with Hewlett Packard in the areas of strategic planning, customer experience management and user interface design. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Washington and an undergraduate degree, also in Psychology, from Pomona College.

Tom Neri, President of Ipsos Loyalty in the US, says Rideout's strengths will benefit Ipsos and its clients, particularly in the Tech sector, while his experience in team development and management is 'a strong foundation for staff growth in Seattle'.

Tucker joins the Loyalty division as Vice President, and will help develop business as well as managing local client accounts. At Harris, he worked as a Senior Consultant in the Customer Loyalty Management (CLM) division, focusing on the Technology/Telecom and Automotive industries. Prior to this he worked at Nordstrom, and then as Director of Solution Design at NetReflector in Seattle. He is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he received his BA in Business.

Etherton becomes a Director, specializing in qualitative research methods – he is a skilled and experienced focus group moderator, who spent 12 years at Northwest Research Group before running his own qual research company.

In total, Ipsos employs more than 200 advertising, forecasting and modeling, marketing, loyalty and public affairs researchers on the West Coast through two offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, and locations in Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. Its web site is at www.ipsos-na.com .
