Greenfield Launches Mobile Panel...

December 20 2006

US-based provider Greenfield Online has followed up recent announcements of 'Real-Time Sampling' and panel management technologies with the launch of a mobile survey respondent panel, Text2Express™.

Celebrating the three rapid-fire launches, President and CEO Albert Angrisani comments: 'In my view, leadership in our industry will be increasingly dependent upon leveraging technology to reach the broadest possible group of survey participants through all respondent communications channels'.

Greenfield says the advanced capabilities of mobile phones today make them perfect devices for running short surveys, noting that in the recent Mobile Life Youth Report from dealership The Carphone Warehouse, 74% of teens use their mobile phones predominantly for text messaging, averaging approximately nine texts a day. This makes MR via mobile phones 'a natural evolution'. EVP Hugh Davis comments: 'the speed and reach of this data collection methodology has the power to ultimately change the future of marketing research. With the number of mobile phone subscribers expected to reach 2.6 billion globally in 2006 and 4 billion by 2010, according to market researcher iSuppli, mobile phones become an extremely powerful device for marketing research, and change the way we think about gathering consumer feedback.'

An online demo of the technology is available at www.text2express.com . Greenfield's corporate web site is at www.greenfield.com and that of its European subsidiary Ciao at www.ciao-group.com .
