MarketTools Names New COO

In the US, online researcher MarketTools has appointed Scott Arnold as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) to head the company's corporate strategy on company-wide initiatives such as strategic ventures and business development.

Scott ArnoldArnold joins from his previous role as CEO of messaging and mobile communications firm Adomo, prior to which from 2003-2006 he was CEO and latterly COO of Borland Software Corporation, leading global sales, marketing and product development. He joined Borland with more than 15 years' experience in corporate strategy and management gained as a Principal with management consultancy McKinsey & Company, during which time he helped found and grow the company's Silicon Valley Office and Global High Tech and Telecom practices. Arnold holds an MB from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Amal Johnson, CEO of MarketTools, says Arnold has been brought in to lead the company's next growth phase: 'By centralising company operations with Scott, MarketTools can better optimise its business performance, scalability and systems infrastructure to enter the next growth phase.'
